Our Projects/
The Interdisciplinary Program.
The Interdisciplinary Program is a 10-month experience through European Solidarity Corps (ESC) where three young ambitious and aspiring creatives hone their skills, develop their portfolio and gain first-hand experience working within the creative and cultural industries.
Funded by The Swedish Agency for Youth and Civil Society (MUCF) through the Erasmus + ESC Program, this project offers a unique experience to participants to work on a variety of creative projects alongside the team at STPLN in Malmö, Sweden.
Volunteering with STPLN
The project has a unique learning-by-doing curriculum where participants work as a creative team with the STPLN organisation on creative tasks. Participants tackle tasks related to STPLN's activities, contributing to its ecosystem. A typical week includes meetings, moodboard creation, hands-on work, multimedia tasks, ideation, and socializing. For more details, check previous editions' final publications.
A Personal Project
One day a week participants are encouraged to work on their own personal project, similar to an artist residency. At STPLN participants have access to a wide range of facilities, equipment, resources, network and mentorship.
Application
The open call happens once a year in the spring. To stay in the loop for this, you can sign up to STPLN’s newsletter to get a reminder for when the application process has started, here.
STPLN & Malmö
Located at STPLN — an incubator for creative projects and meeting point for design, art, technology, science and crafts —participants work within a dynamic environment and gain access to a large network of doers, thinkers and tinkerers in different fields. STPLN is located in the charming city of Malmö, southern Sweden. The city offers a unique independent (and young) culture scene, a diverse international population, and a beach that is always a short bike ride away on the city’s 500km of bike paths.
