About Us.
STPLN (pronounced "stapeln") is a hub for the independent culture and creative scene in Malmö, and beyond. We function as an intermediary and a facilitator for ideas and creative projects. Here you will find community, event spaces, and office spaces at the ready. We welcome all experience levels, backgrounds, and ages.
We support the growth and development of artists, creators, producers, and organizers; where artistic quality and integrity, exploration and interdisciplinary collaborations are highly valued.
STPLN is a platform and a community that strives to build relationships and conversations between practitioners in the independent cultural and creative field and the public and private sector, universities, and civil society.

Do you have an idea within the fields of art, crafts, or design that you need space for and want to realize at STPLN? We offer one free-to-use space and one space for hire.
Our free event spaces at STPLN are currently fully booked until summer 2026. We’re very happy about the strong interest in hosting events with us. New dates and opportunities will open again later this spring.

Study Visits.
As organizations we visit each other for inspiration and to develop our own operations, organizations, and work environments.
A study visit at STPLN is designed as a curated guide that we tailor together so that you get as much as possible out of it. Think more “study” than “visit”. A study visit includes a preparatory meeting, content designed for your purpose, and fika.

Funders
STPLN receives core funding in the form of an operational grant from The City of Malmö's Cultural Committee. In addition, projects and other finite operations are financed by development funds from both the public and private sectors. Currently, we receive our funding from:
