Who we are looking for?

We are looking for volunteers who are passionate about communication and storytelling, curious about creative collaboration, and interested in community engagement. You enjoy working in an international environment, are creative, proactive, and open-minded, and are excited to experiment with different communication formats.

As part of the program, volunteers will work closely together as a small creative communications team, while each person will have a main focus area. As a volunteer, you will help with building and opening up new creative opportunities, welcoming new audiences, and promoting more sustainable practices. You are also expected to handle some administrative activities at the front desk of the space.


Available roles

Volunteers will work closely together but each will have a main focus area.

1. Storytelling & Content Creator

Focus: Digital storytelling and content production.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Producing content for social media

  • Creating short video formats and visual stories

  • Writing articles, captions, and newsletters

  • Documenting events and community initiatives

  • Supporting communication campaigns

2. Narrative Producer

Focus: developing and sharing stories that highlight the community, projects, and activities at STPLN.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Identifying and shaping stories from community initiatives

  • Creating written, visual, or multimedia content

  • Documenting activities and translating them into engaging narratives for diverse audiences

3. Photo & Media Support

Focus: supporting the documentation of projects, events, and community activities through photography and visual media.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Capturing photos and short video content during events and activities

  • Supporting visual documentation of projects and community initiatives

  • Assisting with organizing and archiving photo and media materials

  • Helping prepare visual content for social media and communication campaigns


What you will gain

Through the roles of Storytelling & Content Creator, Narrative Producer, and Photo & Media Support, volunteers will gain hands-on experience in creative communication.

You will:

  • Develop skills in storytelling, photography, and digital media

  • Create content and document real projects and community activities

  • Build a creative portfolio

  • Collaborate with creatives in an international environment


Weekly program

  • Approximately 23 hours working on project related tasks

  • Approximately 8 hours developing personal project

  • 2 Hours on scheduled weekly sessions for overview, reflection, evaluation

  • 3 Hours for language courses

  • 2 Hours for group courses and introductory workshops (The Lab)


A note on experience

You don’t need to have experience in everything mentioned above. What matters most is your motivation, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
