URBAN NATIVE x KREEP
Street culture is messy, loud, personal, collaborative and it doesn’t ask for your permission.
Urban Native x KREEP brings together two artists whose practices differ, yet whose instincts intersect.
Urban Native is an Ewksiknii (Klamath), Modoknii (Modoc), and Neme (Northern Paiute, Yahooskin Snake Band) artist and a citizen of the Klamath Tribes. Through bright colors, humor, recognizable imagery, and unexpected combinations, her work celebrates the strength and complexity of contemporary Indigenous culture. Based in both Malmö and Portland, Oregon her work is rooted in resilience, storytelling, her Indigeneity, and the tension between expectations of Indigenous identity and the actual lived experience.
KREEP comes from the world of graffiti and street art, using experimentation as a way to rediscover and rebuild his artistic practice. Known for his old-skool bends, throw-ups, and burner hand style, KREEP’s work embraces the rawness, spontaneity, and unpredictability of graffiti where style evolves through repetition, risk, mistakes, and a constant exchange with the environment.
Both artists use visual language to explore transformation, identity, and rebellion. Both are curious about what happens when you take something familiar, disrupt it, reclaim it, then rebuild it.
Together Urban Native x KREEP looks at street culture not as a single aesthetic, but as a living, breathing, chaotic ecosystem where ideas collide, styles overlap, peers inspire each other, and nothing exists completely on its own. SCREW THE EGO.
