Many creatives face the same dilemma: How do you build a sustainable business model without compromising your artistic vision?
In this practical workshop, Alex breaks down the financial realities of working as a creative in Sweden. Drawing on his experience in both the startup world and the cultural sector, he will guide participants through the key building blocks of a sustainable creative business. The session covers topics such as choosing the right company structure (Enskild Firma, Aktiebolag, Ideell Förening), understanding VAT and taxes, board structures, annual reports, and the financial foundations needed to support long-term creative work.
Alex Esser works part-time as a startup adviser at Nyföretagarcentrum Öresund, helping entrepreneurs develop business plans and choose the right company structure. At the same time, he runs two creative businesses that generated over 4 million SEK in revenue last year.
