Pinch pottery and fika with Skjold Studio

  • STPLN Malmöhusvägen 5 211 18 Malmö Sweden (map)

Welcome to an afternoon with pottery and fika. During the workshop we will be doing two kinds of activities, pinch pottery and decorating with underglaze.

Pinch pottery is easy to do, and has a handmade charm to the final object. We will pinch pieces of clay into simply shaped bowls, and then decorate them with colored clay.

It will also be possible to paint on already made pots with underglaze. All the objects will be fired and glazed, and can be picked up at STPLN afterwards.

Participation is free (please sign up via luma), and materials can be bought at the workshop.

Material cost:

For pinch pottery: 1 pieces of 400 g clay = 100 sek

For paint on ceramics: 1 bisquefired pot = 200 sek

It will be possible to drop in, and you don’t have to stay for the entirety of the workshop. You can do one or several pieces, and you can test both techniques, or just one. The workshop is open for everyone, no experience is needed, and the work will be guided by Anne Sofie Skjold Møller (Skjold Studio), who is an artist and ceramicist.

Skjold Studio is founded by Anne Sofie Skjold Møller who works with ceramics and everyday objects. Based in Malmö, Anne Sofie creates functional pieces designed to be touched, held and used. Her work, characterized by the marks of her hands, invites a connection with the materials in our daily lives. Each vessel offers a tactile, aesthetic experience for the everyday.

The event is free and open to the public, but please register here to attend <3
