Come to listen, produce, and meet others who are into the same sound.
Malmö House Music Collective is a new community for anyone here who's into house, from producers and DJs to people who just love listening. House Lab is where we get together in person.
The night centres on Ableton and the craft behind building a house track, digging into how a track actually comes together, from a first loop to an arrangement. If you work in another DAW you're very welcome, just bring it along and we'll all learn from how each other works.
Roughly how it runs:
17:00 · Arrive, grab a seat, say hi
17:15 · We play tracks people brought and talk about what makes them work
17:40 · Open studio: produce, jam, or build something together in pairs and small groups
18:30 · Whoever wants to shares what they made, or a track they love
18:50 · Hang out, swap contacts, plan the next one
Bring what you've got and we'll pool it: a laptop, a MIDI controller, headphones, or a USB with tracks you want to play. No gear and no experience needed. Coming just to listen and meet people is completely fine.
